Flying Van Driver Gets Year Ban

Strap In For A Wild Ride – Flying Van

If your not strapped down, you’re about to fall off your chair when you see this.

Republished, because we all need a grin at someone else’s expense sometime!

A teenager who drove a van over a roundabout, catapulting it into the air, has been banned from driving. Despite the dash video from the car behind, which is hilarious, he denied driving a motor vehicle dangerously.

This happened near Norwich in the UK. Three people were hurt in the crash but none had life-threatening injuries, Norfolk Police said, while trying to hold laughter back!

Start Racing At Any Age

Start racing cars at any ageLet’s Go Play – Gentlemen, Start Your Engines

It was George Bernard Shaw that said “we don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.”

Fact is, none of us are getting any younger. The virus outbreak of the last few weeks has brought about a radical, unimaginable change to normal life. This could act as a positive catalyst for those of us who are closer to the end times, than we are the beginning! Who could have predicted this a year ago? None of us know the end date, so maybe it’s time to play like it was tomorrow!

Forget your age, think like a kid again – “Do you wanna be a race car driver?” Read Full Article »

New 3D-Printing Technology For Bucket Seats

“Mind If I Scan Your Butt, Sir?”

porsche might need to scan your butt for a custom bucket seatIf you’re one of those people who has an overwhelming urge to photocopy your rear end, your prayers may have been answered by some new seat technology Porsche recently announced.

For the rest of us, getting comfortable in an aggressive bucket seat is not always that simple. ‘One size fits all’ really doesn’t apply in today’s world of unusually shaped rear ends! You need to be tightly confined to restrict the movement of the body under cornering, however, there is a difference between comfortably tight and a plum crushing squeeze. Thankfully, Porsche has an innovative technical solution…. Read Full Article »

New Porsche 911 Turbo S – Marathon or Snickers?

Porsche 911 Turbo S 992 – No Jargonauts Here!

911 992 turbo sPorsche has become a victim of naming cliché. This problem occurs when your flagship product is the “Turbo.” Yup, that’s the really beastly 911 from the past with bags of power and is a household name in Porsche circles. The new 992 911 Turbo S doesn’t disappoint with it’s 640HP.

However, when the whole vehicle range now features a turbocharged engine, things start to get a little watered down – isn’t everything now a Porsche Turbo? To add clarity, Porsche thought it was a brilliant idea to call the all new electric Taycan a Turbo as well! So, everything is a turbo, not! The new 992 911 Turbo S is, but then again, so is everything else, mostly – clear?

EV Cars and the Porsche Taycan

Meanwhile, 122 years later….

On June 26, 1898, the P1 officially rolled out onto the streets of Vienna, Austria. The Egger-Lohner electric vehicle, C.2 Phaeton model or “P1” for short, is the world’s first Porsche. It was designed by Ferdinand Porsche and is considered to be the first stepping stone before he and his son created Porsche the company. The vehicle resembles a wooden crate or an old horse-drawn carriage, but it is actually an electric motored vehicle.

Fast forward 122 years and Porsche launch the Taycan – an electric car! 122 years, later we conclude that electric power for vehicles is probably the way to go! Read Full Article »
