The Macan has been a big hit since it’s launch a few years ago. Now Porsche has begun the face lifting process on the old girl!
From most angles, it seems to be a real success – the 2020 Macan is prettier, more practical and has more power. It seems to have developed the perfect split personality between the practical small SUV and the hot hatch you used to drive before the kids arrived!
As we rapidly approach the 992, the older 997 is now the Porsche 911 that falls into the “should be a bargain” category. However, while the earlier version is an awesome car and has a reasonable supply available, the later 997.2 seems to be rare and increasing in value.
Any 911 from 2009 through 2011 is bit harder to find — the economy was in free-fall after the housing bubble burst and the banks stole all our money, 401K and then took billions of tax Dollars as a bailout gift – not many people rushed out and bought a 911.

When that gas light comes on you can typical judge the range to the next gas station with a good degree of lucky accuracy. With an EV it’s not so easy but, it could be completely free!

If your thinking it’s time to jump in and buy your first Porsche Boxster there are some practical and mechnical items you should be aware of before you splash the cash.
The Boxster 986 or 987 are all Porsche and such a bargain. Beautiful mid-engined coupe convertible with the S achieving 150mph. Claimed to have lots of technical problems, but there is more hype than real issues.

The new Porsche 911 992 sets new standards for the interior and exterior refinement in the 911 class.
The interior is a minimalist design yet practical and refined. The thrash counter (rev) sits right in the middle of the wide 5 circle dial instrument cluster, the center console is offset, there are three trim levels to enable personal preferences and the good news… the key still goes in on the left!
Seems like the all new electric car is going to be somewhere between $150K and north of $200K. Interestingly, the high end model will likely be called a turbo, although it isn’t.
I guess once you start using the word turbo, it’s difficult to put it down and there is likely a whole collection of turbo badges lying around somewhere just waiting to be used.
