The aFe cold air intake system upgrade for the Porsche 911 Carrera – 997.2 delivers a massive 25% increase in air flow to the 3.6L or 3.8L H6 flat 6 engine. This results in a power gain of approx. 8 HP and an additional 10 FT Lbs of torque on tap. The intake system features a plastic housing and cover that box and hide the twin Pro 5r air filters.

The smoothly designed tube bringing the air through to the throttle body, optimizes flow without compromising the fitment. The housing re-uses all of the factory mounting points making installation straight forward.

+ Performance Specifications

+ Our Opinion

Good quality upgrade for the 997.2 that adds power and a little more sound under throttle. Power gains will likely dial back a little as the engine management system adapts to increased air flow. However, combine this with an ECU tune, plenum and exhaust and you can definitely take advantage of the 25% extra air flow and make significant sticky power gains.

+ Installation

Installation of the air intake box with it’s filters is straightforward. Removing the old box can be a little fiddly, but once out of the way the aFe upgrade drops right in. Full instructions are available, however, if your not comfortable tackling it yourself, we recommend that you find a local independent shop that can help.
