The AWE performance exhaust for the 997 Porsche 911 Turbo produces excellent power gains and amazing sound from a straightforward bolt-on design.  On full throttle the tone and volume jump to produce and amazing sound that clearly distinguishes this exhaust against the competition and delivers power gains north of the 24 HP and 30 ft-lbs of torque.

The exhaust is the result of extensive design and testing on the 997 platform.  The design smooths exhaust gas flow with a uniquely designed center muffler.  While the muffler reduces drone, it also allows for excellent volume at higher rpm.  The 200 cell HJS HD metal core catalysts make sure the CEL is not triggered while helping to deliver more horse power.

Exhaust Tip Options

The system can re-use the original factory exhaust tips or AWE provides the option for either:

Quad black tips

Quad silver tips

If you choose to go with the standard tips and change your mind later, there is a conversion kit available.

The 997 Turbo never really wowed on volume.  This quality exhaust with easy fitment fixes that issue completely – awesome sound.  Quad black tips look really good on the back of the Turbo.  AWE includes the gaskets and hardware you need to complete the job.  Modifications to the emissions systems like the cats can reduce your long term ability to be emission compliant – they are designed for “for racing use only.”

+ Installation

Installation is pretty straight forward.  AWE includes new hardware and gaskets to make the job simple.  We do recommend new studs for the turbo connection be on-hand when you start this install and be careful when removing the original O2 sensors.  We’d highly recommend you search our directory for a local specialist who can install this for you – or contact us and we’ll recommend a friendly local specialist shop for you.
