The AWE performance cross over pipes for the exhaust on the 997.2 Porsche 911 produce approx. 5 HP power gains and deeper sound from a straightforward bolt-on design.  On full throttle the tone and volume jump to produce and amazing sound that is achieved by eliminating the center muffler.

The design smooths exhaust gas flow with a straight path from cats to side muffler.  This is an affordable and simple way to improve the sound of the 997.2 exhaust without affecting the emissions or undertaking more extensive exhaust modifications.

The exhaust tone from the 997.2 can be improved by eliminating the center muffler.  Watch out for x-pipe style versions – generally these result in a loss of torque at lower rpm.  This might be a DIY option, but a complete exhaust system on the 997.2 is definitely a better solution.
