Maintenance Service Intervals for Porsche 911 Turbo 992
Porsche 911 Turbo 992 | 2019+ Maintenance Guide
Based on our experience with the 992, we have included our recommendations for additional maintenance.
911 Turbo 992 Recommended Maintenance Intervals
Keeping your Porsche 911 Turbo 992 healthy requires you inspect the car and change the engine oil and filter annually or every 10K miles as a minimum. The Porsche 911 Turbo 992 maintenance schedule calls for further maintenance, in addition to the annual service, at 20K miles or every two year period. Cumulative service items are added every 20K miles or every two year period. The exception being a spark plug change at the three year or 30K annual service.
Maintenance Recommendations for Your Local Environment
You want your Porsche maintenance to match the vehicle condition, take into account the local environmental conditions, and map to your driving style. This may well speed up the requirements for various filters changes for example. While the service recommendations cover all vehicles as a minimum, the more personalized your maintenance is to local conditions, the better.
Our Recommendations for 992 Turbo Maintenance
Shown below is the Porsche factory recommended maintenance schedule for the 911 Turbo 992. Additionally, we recommend a PDK clutch fluid replacement at 40K miles for the 992 cars. The air filter replacement is factory recommended every 4 years. It’s not a simple process, but we recommend you replace air filters every 30K miles with the spark plugs. We also recommend the body drains are inspected and cleared, if necessary, at every service interval.
What’s Included at the Service Interval?
Many people become confused by Porsche maintenance schedules. The intervals and maintenance items are cumulative – so for clarity, a 4 year service includes all the maintenance items recommended at the 4 year interval, plus all maintenance items from the 2 year and annual maintenance interval as well.

Lifetime Maintenance Items
Some maintenance items are described as “lifetime,” such as coolant, for example. It’s important during a maintenance inspection to discover the health of these “lifetime” items. If you need cold weather protection from your coolant, you’ll find the “lifetime” is considerably shorter than you might expect! Identifying local maintenance requirements and preventing mechanical problems through failure of maintenance items, will save you money in the long term.

Maintenance for Race Track Driving and HPDE
When to Service Your Porsche 911 for the Track
If you’re pottering around in the novice group at a track day, most of the standard maintenance service items on your Porsche are up to the job. Once you progress to more spirited driving in the advanced run groups, it’s easy to quickly exceed the performance of those standard service items, especially if you are running multiple track days in a season.
Maintenance Upgrade Recommendations for Race Track Driving
For the more advanced run groups, it’s extremely important not only to complete a safety inspection, but also to radically speed up maintenance. For example, we recommend a brake fluid flush and oil change before each event. Likewise, a spark plug change after two events will keep your engine running healthy under track conditions.
