The AWE performance exhaust suite for the Porsche 991 GT3 and GT3 RS includes two configuration options.  The SwitchPath version of the exhaust allows the bypass of the muffler sections through the opening of inline valves and at higher RPM produces maximum volume.  The center muffler delete version retains the factory side mufflers.

SwitchPath™ Exhaust
The SwitchPath exhaust is comprised of a center muffler delete section featuring a balance pipe, and the valved side muffler deletes.  The SwitchPath™ Exhaust retains the use of the original valve operation in the factory system, while providing a significant increase in power, weight reduction, and maximum volume.
The SwitchPath™ Exhaust responds to your driving in the same way the factory exhaust does.  Once the ECU opens the valves, the tone and volume produced from the SwitchPath™ exhaust jump to a higher level.  Rapidly, you can go from sophisticated street car to that awesome Cup Car sound by opening the throttle.  With the valves closed, the SwitchPath exhaust provides a deep rumble and exotic tones that are aggressive but refined.

Center Muffler Delete
The Center Muffler Delete is least expensive option and provides more power, more volume and saves weight versus the original exhaust.  This option retains the original side mufflers but deepens the tone of the exhaust overall.
There is a conversion kit available if you decide later to implement the full SwitchPath exhaust.

Weight Saving
Manufacturers are charging big money for modifications that make super cars lightweight.  This is a relatively simple and enjoyable mod that saves 48lbs over the factory exhaust.

Tip Options
AWE offer two choices of tips for the GT3 Exhaust:
102mm diamond black tips
102mm chrome silver tips

+ Performance Specs

+ Our Opinion

As you would expect from AWE this is a high quality exhaust with great fitment and really good sound.  We recommend the SwitchPath version because the volume and sound from the GT3 at higher RPM is exquisite.  Add weight saving and more power and what’s not to like!

+ Installation

Installation is pretty straight forward, once you have the rear bumper removed.  AWE includes new hardware to make the job simple.  Connection of the valves is really easy and this job shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours.  If you’re not comfortable with installing yourself, we’d recommend you search our directory for a local specialist who can install this for you – or contact us and we’ll recommend a friendly local specialist shop for you.
